Wake up with the birds as you relax with a Ranger for a morning of leisurely bird watching.
Bring your morning beverage, sit at a picnic table in our day-use area, and let the birds come to you! This program is perfect for those who are newer to birding or those who just aren't ready to go for a hike early in the morning. Though we can't tell the birds to be there, we expect to see a variety of birds including golden-fronted woodpeckers, Inca doves, American pipits, red-shouldered hawks, black-crested titmice, and more!
We will have a limited number of binoculars and bird guides available for use during the program, or feel free to bring your own.
Meet in day-use.
Optional items to bring include a towel to sit on for dewier mornings, binoculars, camera, field guide, and your morning beverage.
Free with park entrance ($4 per adult, children 12 & under are free).
Please dress for the weather. Appropriate jammies are welcome.
